A group of software engineering students has released a campus navigation app that routes around stairs, steep gradients and temporary construction closures for wheelchair users.
Surveyed on foot, one gradient at a time
The routing data was surveyed on foot over a full semester, because no existing map of the campus recorded gradients at the resolution the app needed.
The app is being handed to the dean of students office to maintain.
