A third-year student in the Department of Biotechnology Engineering represented the college at the annual FoodTech Nation conference, which brings together entrepreneurs, researchers and investors from Israel’s innovative food industry.
He presented his final project at the conference — a process for producing alternative protein from by-products of the Galilee’s agricultural industry. The project was developed in the department’s laboratories and combines process engineering with synthetic biology.
